Serious and elegant, this mask from Brong Ahafo in Ghana is worn during the yam harvest festival. Godfred France refers to it as the Aziku (celebration) mask and carves it by hand from sese wood. Detailed with embossed brass, the mask is painted by hand with festive colors.
