This handbag celebrates Quetzaltenango, famed for its beautiful women and its rich artistic, intellectual and economic legacy. The yellow and brown panels come from a traditional huipil (blouse), woven on a back strap loom, says Monica Almorza of her fabulous design. Trimmed with brown leather, the bag’s beige cotton interior features one zipper pocket. Almorza completes her design with her trademark collection of traditional items that include a cotton worry doll, a pinewood dog mask, a colorful pompom, and tassels.
