Elegant, multicolored floral and butterfly motifs decorate this handbag from Bali. Crafted of leather, the handbag is designed by Farida Ridwan, who applies the kawung designs with the batik method. Kawung is a traditional form of batik design originally reserved for royalty. The purse opens at the top with a zipper to a mahogany-colored lining. The interior features two compartments divided by a zipper pocket, with a second zipper pocket located on the side. Carry the bag with the shoulder strap to free your hands, or remove the adjustable strap and use the handles instead. The handbag is named Kembang, the Indonesian word for flower.
